BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN

This was Ethan's favorite ride--we rode it 4 (or 5?) times!

WHOO--HOO!!

Who can find the hidden Mickey? (not me!)

Jeff, Susan & Talia intensely search for a hidden Mickey-- there's a hidden Minnie in our picture :)

M-I-C-K-E-Why? Because we love you!

Lil' bit of love from Piglet.

"Having a great time in Orlando. Wish you were here!"

Actually, Ethan pretty much captured how we all felt that morning after getting to our hotel at 1:30 am, with no luggage (the official Southwest declaration is that they "failed to transfer").

Ethan just wants his goggles!

SECOND GRADE!!

It was a great first day--Ethan is a pro at this school stuff. All went well--peace out.

The Good Ole' Summer Time!

Time for another blog update. We've happily made it to summer and it's hot in the midwest!
Ethan successfully completely the first grade and is enjoying the time off from school. He spent a fun week visiting with his abuela, took swimming lessons, went to art camp and soccer camp, and spends his days swimming, playing with friends and bugging his mom about being bored (how much longer until school starts again?) Dana continues to work on his book. It's the home stretch, people and he's really working hard! As a motivator and a reward for our family, we're planning a trip to Disneyworld at the end of the summer. Dana WILL have his book completed by then, so it WILL be a real end of summer celebration for us! We're going with some good friends who are Disney experts so we're sure to have a great time. In short, all is well with us and we hope it is the same with you. I've posted a few pictures below to help update you on all our happenings. Enjoy the summer and I hope to have some great Disney pictures to post in the fall!

Who can remember this little stinker?

He may be growing up, but he'll always be our sweet boy!

Red, white and blue, friends, picnics, fireworks, catching fireflies--I can't think of any better way to celebrate the Fourth of July!

Ethan and Abuela enjoy some more swimming in the pool in our backyard.

Ethan was a carrot in the first grade music program. He memorized all his lines and spoke them loud and clear. A fine vegetable, indeed!

Ethan's 7th birthday party. He had a party with friends, games, swimming, cake, ice cream, presents and lots of fun! Happy day!

Update

Hi all!

Thought I'd take a few minutes and update our blog. Our last post was Halloween. After Halloween came Thanksgiving, which we forgot to take any pictures of. We had a great time with the Daniels family. Then came Christmas. We visited with Santa to make sure he received our wish list in time. We had a great Christmas--thanks Santa! The day after Christmas we drove to Nana & Papa's house in PA and had a great Christmas reunion with all our aunts, uncle and cousins. Ethan loved spending time with his cousins. In January we flew to Los Angeles and visited with our other aunt, uncle and cousin. We had a wonderful time hanging out with them in sunny LA. We also all went to Disneyland together and had a fun, fun time.

Now we're just getting through the daily grind waiting and waiting for spring to come.
